Zacán
Facility compound by the old hospital of Immaculate Mary Conception and its chapel. It has a design shaped as an L, built under the supervision of Fray Juan Miguel in the XVI century.
It is believed that the chapel and the hospitals were constructed by the Franciscans in 1560. When the Augustines arrived to the area, they became in charge of the project. The original façade has disappeared, but in its place you can find a delightful wood door. This compound is located right in front of what used to be the graveyard’s atrium, nowadays the civic plaza. Next to the Huatapera, you can watch the Temple Tower of Saint Peter that stands out because its solar clock and bell tower.
